It was Shige’s turn to update
Shige said that lately he’s been watching a lot of movies and reading a lot of books. He talked about how they were doing concerts in Sapporo soon and wondered if it’s still cold there. He also wrote about how the sakura have started to bloom in Tokyo and how Japanese people, himself included, love sakura. He said that he also likes magnolia and share a picture of them he took while out on a walk at night. He amended that it’s possible they’re actually magnolia kobus.
Masuda Takahisa no Marumaru (Mar 29)
Masuda Takahisa’s Paris Fashion Week
Massu wrote about being able to go to Paris Fashion Week for a Soen article and how it’s always been his dream to go. He said that since there was a long break between when he went in mid January and when the magazine went on sale, he couldn’t find the right timing to tell us about it, and before he knew it, it’s already been announced.
He said that he’s never had the opportunity to go before though his friends go every time. He talked about how it was his dream to go when he first started his column in Soen and then it didn’t take long for them to realise it. He’s really thankful [he used Arashi’s song title “Kansha Kangeki Ame Arashi” which is a pun on the phrase “Kansha Kangeki Ame Arare” which means to be very thankful]
He said that this dream coming true is also connected to how he’s been allowed to do NEWS’ costumes. He said that he teared up watching the first show, though he’s not sure if it was from joy, being moved, or being overwhelmed. Seeing the clothes and the show made him think again how he really wants to do a performance like that.
He told everyone to go read Soen to hear a more detailed report of Paris Fashion week.
KEIICHIRO (Mar 30)
Koyama posted when he was on his way to Hokkaido. He work up early so he was sleepy, but would do his best so that everyone can enjoy the concert. He included a selfie of himself at the end doing a pose and wearing a mask.
Masuda Takahisa no Marumaru (Apr 2)
He wrote about the Hokkaido concerts, asking if the audience was cold as the venue was rather cold. He also saw people queuing up in the cold for the merchandise and thanked everyone.
He shared how he went for Genghis Khan (TL note: a lamb/mutton version of yakiniku, popular in Hokkaido) with the juniors and the staff. It was probably the first time he had that in Hokkaido and he could see sheep jumping across his eyes when he woke up the following day.
He said he wanted more time in private so he could go to more places, and thanked everyone in Hokkaido again at the end.
Photographer Araki Hayato tweeted on Mar 28 to say he went with Massu to Paris Fashion Week, and said he had a great time feeling Paris and doing the shoot with Massu. He also promoted the 12 pages of coverage in so-en and asked everyone to go see it. (Source)
In the Mar 29 episode of “Netapare”, they made the comedians do a race at the end, and Massu welcomed the second runner up, Kimura from comedian group Indians with a hug. He tweeted about it, saying he got to hug Massu and that Massu is super nice, in that he kept fanning him even after the recording ended, because he was perspiring so much. EXIT’s Kanechika quoted the tweet to say Massu was fanning him the entire time the top comedian group was receiving their “prize”, saying they’re blessed men. (Source 1 2 3)
Voting for “The Television Drama Academy Awards” is open, and “Top Gun” is included in the nominations for “Best Drama Song” (ドラマソング賞). If you’re viewing the page on desktop, “Top Gun” is listed only on the second page of the nominations list for that category. You’d need to put in a nomination for every category before you can submit your vote, but there aren’t that many categories so it won’t take too much time.
Voting closes April 9th 23:59 (JST).
